Peter McCormack, host of the What Bitcoin Did podcast bought Bedford FC in 2021 and is currently transforming the club into Real Bedford. The first football team to operate on a bitcoin standard.

It’s early days yet and the team currently sits in the ninth tier of English football, but with a huge international following from the bitcoin community, big things are expected in the coming years. If nothing else, this could be a good lesson in low time preference.

Games are most Saturdays during the football season (August to May) and you’ll find an increasing amount of fellow bitcoiners to chat with and maybe even Peter himself.
